EMS was founded in 2024 by Cynthia Aguirre, a Spanish interpreter based in Mount Vernon, Washington. Her vision is to advance language access and language justice by ensuring equitable treatment for individuals based on their linguistic abilities and needs. Cynthia is dedicated to identifying and addressing the power imbalances and barriers that arise from language differences. Her goal is to provide the local community with a dedicated linguistic service, ensuring that everyone has equal access to resources, opportunities, and services, regardless of their language proficiency or background.
